Abstract of the submitted paper
The first paper I compiled at my parents' home was the one discussing the results of an analysis that incorporated a bit of molecular genetic approaches to the acetylcholinesterase gene, which I mentioned in the section about my research as a part-time researcher at the University of Tsukuba. Therefore, in fact, this current paper would be my second. However, I had a hard time finding a journal that would accept the manuscript for this paper, and there were moments when I almost gave up. I felt so regretful at the thought of letting all my efforts go to waste that I decided to bind the manuscript myself and present it to my academic advisor in Tsukuba, as well as to my close family members, like my nieces and nephews. I thought that was about all I could do. However, by a stroke of luck, a Russian journal accepted my paper, and I somehow managed to get it published.
While helping care for my grandmother with dementia at my parents' home, I compiled the unpublished results from my research on insecticide resistance into papers and at the same time continued my studies on evolutionary genetics of elderly care. In the course of my studies, I came across the work of Kropotkin, a Russian naturalist and anarchist who was active from the late 19th to the early 20th century (he authored works such as Mutual Aid), and I was deeply influenced by his ideas. Therefore, I felt truly honored to have my paper published in a Russian ecological journal. Given the many twists and turns along the way, this paper holds a special place in my heart.

投稿論文の要旨
実家で論文をまとめたのは、筑波大学での非常勤の研究員として行った研究のところで述べた、アセチルコリンエステラーゼ遺伝子の分子遺伝学的な手法を少しばかり取り入れた解析の結果に関する論文が最初だったので、実際には、今回の論文は2本目ということになります。しかし、この論文の原稿を受け付けてくれる雑誌をなかなか見つけることができなくて、ほとんど諦めかけそうになったことがありました。やってきたことをこのまま無にするのも悔しかったので、自分で製本し、筑波でお世話になった指導教官に謹呈したり、甥や姪のような私の身内に配ったりして、まあこんなことぐらいしかできないなあと思ったこともあったのですが、幸運にも、ロシアの雑誌が私の論文を受け付けてくれて、なんとか受理までこぎ着けることができました。
認知症の祖母の介護を手伝いながら、実家で、殺虫剤抵抗性に関する研究のなかでまだまとめていなかった結果を論文としてまとめつつ、高齢者介護の進化遺伝学について勉強を進めていました。その中で、19世紀後半から20世紀初頭にかけて活躍した、ロシアの博物学者であり、そして無政府主義者でもあったクロポトキンの研究に触れることがあり（クロポトキンには、『相互扶助論』などの著作があります）、とても影響を受けることが多かったので、ロシアの生態学雑誌に自分の論文を発表することができて、とても光栄に思いました。いろいろな紆余曲折があっただけに、私にとって思い入れることの多い論文だったと思います。
