Abstract of the submitted paper
I submitted this paper to an online journal. Publishing in an academic journal often involves significant costs, including manuscript review fees. For example, if I belong to an academic society related to my research, I may be exempt from certain costs, such as manuscript review fees. However, I would still need to pay an annual membership fee, so it would not be entirely free. As someone with no prospects of securing a research position, I could not afford to join an academic society, pay expensive annual membership fees, and submit papers. Even for online journals, the fees can sometimes be an order of magnitude higher than expected. Still, while not inexpensive, I decided to find a journal that would accept my paper for a reasonable fee and submit it.

投稿した論文の要旨
今回の論文は、オンライン・ジャーナルといわれている雑誌に投稿しました。学術的な雑誌に論文を発表しようとする場合、論文の審査料など、一般的には少なからざる費用がかかります。例えば、何らかの学会に所属していれば（どこでもいいわけではなく、もちろん、自分の研究と関連があるという縛りはあるとは思います）、論文の審査などにかかる費用は免除される場合もあるかもしれませんが、その場合、学会に年会費を払う必要があるので、まあ、決して無料というわけではないのだろうと思います。私のように、就職する目途が立たない以上、どこかの学会に所属して、決して安くはない年会費を毎年払いながら、論文を投稿するという戦略を取ることはできませんでした。オンライン・ジャーナルとはいっても、ケタが違うのではないかとビックリしてしまうような高額な費用がかかってしまう場合もあるそうです。それでも、まあ、決して安くはないのですが、それなりの費用で論文を受け付けてくれる雑誌を探し、投稿することにしました。
